Why Your TV Has No Sound on Streaming Apps (Fix Guide)
If streaming apps suddenly have no sound, the issue is usually either the audio path, the device settings, or the connected sound equipment. It is frustrating, but it is often fixable.
Still having sound issues?
If you have already checked your TV settings, HDMI connection, and audio equipment, the streaming device itself may be the problem. We now offer our recommended ONN 4K Streaming Device directly from CSTV Mounting.
Check the audio path first
Make sure the TV, soundbar, HDMI connection, and input selection are all lined up correctly. Many no-sound problems happen right after switching devices or changing audio equipment.
Check device and app settings
Restart the device, verify app updates, and review audio settings. If the device is older, unstable behavior can make sound issues show up more often than they should.
When it may be time to upgrade
If sound problems keep returning along with lag, buffering, or app crashes, upgrading the device may be smarter than repeatedly troubleshooting. See our post on ONN 4K vs ONN 4K Plus for a practical upgrade path, or go directly to our ONN 4K product page if you are ready to replace the device.
